SEO Glossary O

Opera

Opera is a web browser that has been gaining popularity in recent years. Opera runs on all of the major platforms and is generally well received. It has a strong market share on mobile devices, it is estimated over 40 million mobile phones have shipped with opera installed, and it is also the browser used by Nintendo’s DS and Wii games consoles.

Outbound link

An outbound link is a link that points from your website to a page to an external website. Some webmasters try to avoid placing outbound links on their website, however a few highly relevant and useful links both help search engines better understand your page and it can provide human visitors with valuable resources.

Organic Search results

Organic search results are those which search engines return based purely on their search algorithms. The majority of current search engines provide both paid (or sponsored) and unpaid links on their results page. Those that were not paid for and returned naturally are called organic results. Achieving the highest organic results possible is the ultimate aim of search engine optimisation.
