Human edited websites that list website into categories. Directories can help generate traffic to your website and also help with SEO. If you're looking for a good directory try the MOO web directory.
Deeplink Page
A deeplink page refers to a link that points to a page within a site. Externally linking to pages within your website strengthens that page in the search engines, and it's always a good idea to link to other pages in your site not just the homepage.Description
In SEO terms description refers to the description Meta tag which is found in the <head> area of a HTML document. The description Meta tag is used to describe an individual page and is displayed in the search engine results pages under the clickable title.
Domain Name
Domain name is the actual physical location of a website. When a domain name is typed into a web browser it will take you to the desired website. Some popular domain name extensions are .com .co.uk. .net and .org.
Dreamweaver
A very popular HTML editor used by some web developers to build websites. Dreamweaver has now extended its tools to help creating php, asp and database driven websites.
Duplicate Content
Search engines don’t want to display webpage's with the same content so they have algorithms to detect this and can remove webpage's with duplicate content. Engines will try to determine what webpage was the original page for that content and display it accordingly.
Database
A database is a collection of information and organises data. Websites can have databases to store webpage content. MYSQL is a popular database used for these purposes.
Dead Link
A dead link is a link when clicked on brings up an error usually because the link is spelt wrong or the website has moved or removed the page that it was originally linking to.
Dmoz
The world's most popular directory, DMOZ stands for directory.mozilla.org from its original domain name. It is also referred to as Open Directory Project (ODP). Inclusion in DMOZ will help your SEO efforts as it's highly regarded by search engines.
Delisting
When a website gets removed from a search engine or directory, usually for unethical SEO techniques.
