What is Search Engine Optimisation (Optimization in the USA) or SEO for short all about?
Search Engine Optimisation is the process of optimising a website in order for it to do as well as possible in the Search Engine Result Placements (SERP's).

Contrary to what a lot of SEO company's will tell you, there is no real secret to this process and it really boils down to a good understanding of what each search engine requires from your site and adhering to their requirements as much as possible. Unfortunately, this means a lot of research and good old fashioned hard work, but that's what we offer our clients.
There are many ways to try to trick search engines but any good SEO company will agree that if you try to trick the engines, you will eventually be found out and penalized. Under no circumstances will Moovin' On Up ever use any technique that goes against the criteria as defined by the search engines themselves.
Most people will focus their SEO efforts on the Google search engine, and rightly so, because they make up for about 50% of all internet searches (although we do recommend you don't alienate yourself from 50% of your potential marketplace) and we advise all clients to not take only our advice, or the advice of other SEO companies, but to go and read the criteria from the search engines themselves: advice such as Google's terms and suggestions, as well as the other main search engines; about how THEY decide on their search engine rankings. We prefer to independently educate our clients about how search engines work using resources such as the Inventory Search Term Tool and the Google Keyphrase Tool, and then if you choose to, we can carry out the hard work for you.
By following the guidelines set out by the search engine you want to feature highly on will help you do so. You must play by their rules!

Search Engine Optimisation is a very lengthy process and most people fail to recognise that their online success, like in all business life, relies heavily on a strong identity built up over time, which achieves recognition from others within the same industry and keeps up to date with all industry changes and does not become stagnant.
Repeated in SEO terms the above paragraph translates into a long term established domain name (or company name), with quality content (knowledgeable and helpful information), linked to from other leading "authority" websites within the same industry sector and is continuously updated, changing and adapting to new ideas within their sector.
Unfortunately it's not!
Whilst the core of SEO is pretty straightforward once you understand the base requirements, it is still a very difficult job to deliver all of the combined factors correctly, (Google has over 100 individual determining factors in it's algorithm) at the right times and with the right emphasis, so that's were we come in.
